A man has been arrested and charged in the Nov. 1 shooting outside Club Posh which left one man dead and two others wounded.
The Denver district attorney’s office today charged Ricardo Soto, 20, with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault in connection with the incident.
The shooting erupted as the club was closing and the crowd was filtering into the street, according to police.
When police arrived at the scene, they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. A third victim later sought treatment at a local hospital.
One victim, John McGaughy-Singleton, 29, died a few days later at Denver Health Medical center.
Police said that all the victims were shot in the parking lot of Club Posh, 4040 E. Evans Ave.
Soto is in custody at the Denver County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on Wednesday to be advised of the charges.
The arrest affidavit for Soto, which might spell out details of the incident and motive, has been sealed.
Investigators said earlier that a disagreement between two groups apparently sparked the shooting.Howard Pankratz: 303-954-1939 or hpankratz@denverpost.com
