Kathy McConnell-Miller is officially out as Colorado’s women’s basketball head coach, the school said today.

Colorado went 65-88 in five seasons under McConnell-Miller but posted only one winning record: 19-15 in 2007-08, when the Buffaloes reached the semifinals of the WNIT. Her best conference mark was 6-10 in 2006-07.

The final details on the split have not been announced. McConnell-Miller, 42, had a contract through the 2012-13 season, with an annual salary of about $360,000. The contract includes a clause that allows the athletic department to assign her to another position at a salary approaching $180,000.

In today’s release, CU athletic director Mike Bohn said the school will begin an immediate search for a successor, the first step of which will be assembling a search committee.
