A Tennessee truck driver has been arrested on suspicion of tearing through the Prospect neighborhood in south Longmont, uprooting established trees, destroying fences and light poles and crashing into vehicles and homes.
David Kent, 38, who police believe was highly intoxicated, is suspected of driving an 18-wheeler into the neighborhood about 9 p.m. Saturday, said Longmont police Cmdr. Tim Lewis. He was supposed to be delivering doors to Broomfield.
After allegedly tearing through the neighborhood, Kent is accused of dragging one of the trees as he left the area, Lewis said.
