Getting your player ready...
DENVER—A Colorado high school is in the race to win a commencement speech delivered by President Barack Obama.
The Denver School of Science & Technology was one of six schools named a finalist in the national competition on Friday.
The charter school was selected after submitting answers to essay questions, a video, and achievement data.
People will get to vote for their favorite of the six schools on the White House’s Web site later this month. The president will then choose a winner from the three schools that get the most votes.
The winner must be a school that provides an excellent education that will prepare students for college and to make career choices.
