COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A 16-year-old girl will serve no prison time in the slaying of a man accused of sexually assaulting her.

The girl pleaded guilty Monday to manslaughter in exchange for two years probation and mandatory counseling in the June slaying of 43-year-old Jon Hazard, according to The Gazette. Hazard was killed in Palmer Park nine days before his trial on charges of child sexual assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Hazard was arrested in December 2008. Police accused Hazard of sexually assaulting the girl and say they found sexually explicit pictures of her on his computer. Neither defense attorney Ann Kaufman nor a spokeswoman with the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s office returned messages Wednesday seeking comment.
