ASPEN, Colo.—An attorney for Charlie Sheen wants statements thrown out that the “Two and a Half Men” actor made to police investigating a Christmas Day domestic violence report.
In a motion filed April 1, attorney Richard Cummins says an officer questioned Sheen in the basement of a house without advising him of his right to remain silent.
Sheen is charged with menacing, criminal mischief and assault in an alleged attack involving his wife, Brooke Mueller Sheen.
A judge scheduled a jury trial for July 21.
Cummins also wants police to save surveillance video purportedly showing one of the investigating officers going easy on a newspaper editor in a separate case. Both the officer and editor lost their jobs over the Feb. 19 incident.
