NEW YORK—An Associated Press analysis shows the CEO of Molson Coors Brewing Co. received compensation worth $8.1 million in 2009, 46 percent more than the year before.
The brewer of Coors Light and Molson said in a regulatory filing Wednesday that Peter Swinburn received a salary of $875,000 and a performance-based bonus of $2.1 million.
He also received stock and option awards worth $4.9 million when they were granted.
His other compensation totaled $240,456, including a $100,000 payment made according to his relocation agreement.
The AP calculation aims to isolate the value company boards place on CEOs’ total compensation packages. It includes salary, bonus, incentives, perks and the estimated value of stock options and awards.
