The Longmont Humane Society needs some help after adding 21 tiny kittens all at once.

The facilities manager came in Wednesday morning to find two boxes full of 21 meowing, hungry kittens in the night-drop box. Some were as young as 4 weeks old, a society spokeswoman said.

The 21 new additions bring to 55 the number of kittens being cared for at the facility.

Many of the 21 new arrivals are too young to be adopted, and foster parents are needed. Wet kitten food is also appreciated, the organization said in a news release.

Donations can be made at the Longmont Humane Society, 9595 Nelson Road.
