FRISCO, Colo.—Interstate 70 is open and weather conditions have improved a day after a 21-car-pile up temporarily closed eastbound Interstate 70 just west of Frisco.
Colorado State Patrol spokesman Nathaniel Reid says three people were taken to Summit Medical Center after Sunday’s crashes. The most serious injuries were cuts on a motorist’s face.
Snowy weather caused problems for the area much of Sunday afternoon. Earlier in the day westbound lanes of I-70 were closed for an hour while multiple accidents were cleared off the road. Reid says there were four separate accidents involving 21 cars.
Transportation officials on Monday lifted or modified some travel restrictions that had been in place Sunday.
