A 32-year-old Colorado Springs man has been arrested as a suspect in the fatal stabbing of his father.

The incident happened about 6 a.m. Monday at 2970 El Capitan Drive, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Police said Jason Lee Stroud stabbed his 59-year-old father, Terry, “multiple times in the head and upper torso” and then fled the home on foot. Terry Stroud was taken to a local hospital and died of his wounds, police said.
