RIFLE, Colo.—A western Colorado health center has received a $500,000 grant to help build a clinic in Rifle to serve a growing number of patients who are on Medicare or have no insurance.
Mountain Family Health Centers of Glenwood Springs was awarded the grant this week by the Colorado Health Foundation.
Mountain Family Health Centers says the grant will be applied toward building the $2.5 million clinic.
David Adamson, executive director of the group, says the clinic will offer comprehensive primary care and dental care.
A groundbreaking is planned for this summer. The clinic is expected to open in the spring of 2011.
