A woman who said she was kidnapped by her boyfriend, Eddie Archer, pleaded with him to stop the car and let her and her young son out, after he forced them into the car in Westminster on Tuesday morning, according to a 911 tape released Tuesday night.

Archer, 22, has been arrested several times, with several weapons charges. He released the woman, who has not been named by police, and her son after driving them around the metro region and into the mountains near Boulder. On the 911 tape, the man identified as Archer can be heard saying the woman ruined his day.

“I woke up in the best mood ever today,” he said, then accusing her of not understanding the Bible when she said, “God forbid I should protect my son.”

Archer has no relationship to the child, said Westminster police investigator Trevor Materasso. Police found the woman and her son at a park near West 33rd Avenue and Yates Street in Denver, and later found the car the three were traveling in. Anyone with information on Archer’s whereabouts can call Westminster police at 303-658-4360.

The woman assisted police in their search by calling 911 on her cellphone and leaving the line open, capturing her panicked and sometimes incoherent arguments with Archer, as she pleads with him to stop and let her and her son out. The phone line helped authorities track the car and ultimately led to the park. Joey Bunch, The Denver Post
