Work to repair damage from a March 8 rock slide in Glenwood Canyon has been finished 12 days ahead of schedule, earning Longmont- based contractor Flatiron Construction Corp. a $31,000 bonus, the Colorado Department of Transportation said Wednesday.
The bonus was offered to complete the $2.1 million cleanup and repair as quickly as possible. The contractor was facing equivalent fines for finishing later than May 31, according to CDOT.
