Kaiser Permanente Colorado announced plans Wednesday to significantly expand its footprint in Colorado, opening a specialty medical office in 2013 near the intersection of Interstate 25 and Lincoln Avenue in Douglas County.

This center, which will offer services such as gastroenterology, orthopedics and outpatient surgery, is one of five new medical offices planned for the state in the next three years.

Kaiser also is planning facilities in Evergreen, Castle Rock, Brighton and Larkridge.
