PHILADELPHIA — Digital-video-recorder pioneer TiVo said Tuesday it lost more money in the first quarter than a year ago as legal expenses and other costs wiped out an increase in revenue.
TiVo posted a net loss of $14.2 million, or 13 cents per share, in the quarter that ended April 30.
TiVo incurred higher legal expenses as part of its lawsuit against satellite-TV company Dish Network for alleged patent infringement.
