Keller Williams Realty has teamed up with the Home Rescue Institute to offer a network of resources to homeowners.

“Situations such as job changes, health concerns or a mortgage reset can create a mortgage crisis for homeowners,” said Jerry Bouthcher, who founded Home Rescue last fall in McLean, Va. “Those who owe more on their house than it’s worth may be scared, confused, anxious or ashamed and embarrassed. We can help them understand their situation in these difficult economic times.” In addition to providing information to homeowners, Home Rescue offers a certification program for real estate professionals. Agents with the Certified Home Rescue Expert designation have received education and support from credit specialists, tax and bankruptcy attorneys and certified public accountants.

Since its inception, more than 650 real estate agents have received the designation, including 200 Keller Williams agents in Colorado. Margaret Jackson, The Denver Post
