Police have a west Denver home surrounded and are in a standoff with an armed man inside who has another person with him.
The incident began at 6:51 p.m. when officers went to the home near the intersection of W. 4th Avenue and Zenobia Street to find a man wanted on several warrants.
They were greeted outside by another person from inside, and as they discussed the situation, the door was locked and the man made clear he would not come out.
Denver Police Lt. Matt Murray said officers believe the man inside is armed, and that another person is inside with him.
Police have cordoned off all of Zenobia from W. 2nd to W. 5th Streets and have evacuated some homes nearby.
The neighborhood is about two miles southwest of Invesco Field at Mile High.
