LYONS — A body found by a family picnicking near Black Bear Hole in Lyons has been identified.
The Boulder County coroner’s office said 54-year-old Thomas Moffitt of Lyons was found in a drainage ditch on the north side of the St. Vrain River.
A family having breakfast in a picnic pull-off discovered the body about 10 a.m. Saturday.
They called 911 once they got home.
Police say they are investigating but do not suspect foul play.
