A Superior woman was arrested this afternoon on suspicion of killing her 6-month-old son.
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said Stephanie Rochester, 34, was arrested just before 6 p.m. on a warrant alleging first-degree murder and child abuse resulting in death.
Rochester and the boy’s father brought the baby to Avista Hospital in Louisville early today saying he was found unresponsive in his crib. He was pronounced dead a short time later and the investigation began.
Rochester was being held in the Boulder County Jail on $750,000 bond.
A Sheriff’s Office release did not disclose the cause of death. The agency has not released the names of either the child or his father.
