LONGMONT — A 13-year-old girl injured when she turned her bicycle into the path of a van was wearing “iPod headphones” at the time, police said Friday.
Caitlyn Kerlee was riding her bike Thursday afternoon when she turned sharply to the left into the path of a minivan driven by a 70- year-old Longmont man. Caitlyn was transferred from Longmont United Hospital to a Denver-area hospital, where she was in critical but stable condition. The investigation has ruled out speed, drugs or alcohol as factors in the accident.
