SEATTLE — A blaze tore through a Seattle apartment Saturday and killed five people, including four children, fire officials said.
The fire was reported just after 10 a.m. in what authorities described as a two-story apartment unit in the city’s Fremont neighborhood north of downtown. Property records indicate the building is owned by the Seattle Housing Authority.
A fire department spokeswoman told The Seattle Times that a 21-year-old woman, a 14-year-old boy, a 7-year-old boy, a 5-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl died in the fire.
