Getting your player ready...

The first one’s free. Relying on the age-old business strategy to hook new customers, the first Giant Cycling World store to open in the U.S. is giving away a new bike Saturday at its grand opening in Littleton. In addition, the public is invited to join former Olympians and U.S. national champion cyclists Adam Craig and Carl Decker on group rides for varied ability levels beginning at 9 a.m. Afterward, world-record holder Jeff Lenosky will showcase his stunt-riding skills at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The idea is to make the cycling masses aware of the new specialty retail store from Giant Bicycle, the world’s largest bike manufacturer, opened by long-standing sports medicine businessmen Eric Krell and Vint Schoenfeldt, owners of Rocky Mountain Spine & Sport clinics. Craig and Decker also will answer questions and sign autographs surrounding “how to” clinics on the best ways to maintain that new bike. Demo bikes will be available.
