A drive-by shooting near 25th Avenue and Ogden Street tonight left seven people wounded, one of them gravely injured, Denver police said.
No names have been released. Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson said a group of men were gathered outside an apartment complex when a sport-utility vehicle or pickup drove by and opened fire about 9 p.m.
Four people took themselves to Exempla St Joseph’s Hospital with minor wounds, and two were admitted to Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center but they were in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
One person was taken to Denver Health Medical Center, and “we’re worried about him,” Jackson said.
He would not speculate on a motive and said detectives were waiting to talk to victims.
