A Denver judge has approved a motion by Colorado Attorney General John Suthers that clears the way for him to try to have anti-tax activist Doug Bruce held in contempt of court.
The decision Thursday finds that Bruce has been served with a subpoena to testify in a case involving three tax-cutting measures on the November ballot even though officials haven’t been able to give the notice to him. A spokesman said Suthers now will file a motion seeking to have Bruce held in contempt of court.
That action is expected today.
