A 57-year-old Lakewood man has been identified as the victim of a fatal fall that happened while he was setting up a videocamera for a nationally televised Motocross event.
Videographer Stuart Keene fell about 20 feet at 3 p.m. Friday while setting up a video camera at Thunder Valley Motocross in Morrison, said Carrie Coombs, spokeswoman for MXS Sports Pro Racing.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, said Micki Trost, spokeswoman for West Metro Fire Protection District.
“Our deepest sympathies go out to his family,” Coombs said.
Keene was single and did not have any children. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Keene of Kansas City, Mo., a sister, Mrs. Barbara Christopher of Vail, and three stepbrothers.
Richard Keene said Saturday night that the family was in Denver and was investigating the accident.
