OGDEN, Utah — Five teenagers and young adults returning from a camping trip in northern Utah were killed Saturday when they tried to pass another vehicle on a mountain highway and their car slammed into an oncoming pickup.
The 19-year-old driver of the westbound Honda Accord was trying to pass in a no-passing zone on Route 39 near the Eagles Campground when it struck the Ford F-350 about 7:30 a.m., said Weber County sheriff’s Lt. Phillip Howell.
