DENVER—An organization in Colorado Springs is receiving a share of $4 million in grants to help formerly incarcerated veterans find jobs.
The 16 grants to recipients in 13 states are intended to provide referral and counseling services to reintegrate an estimated 1,400 formerly imprisoned veterans at risk of homelessness into the workplace.
The U.S. Department of Labor said Monday that Aspen Diversified Industries Services Inc. in Colorado Springs would receive $122,500 from the Incarcerated Veterans Transition Program.
