
Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a man who offered a child beads if she’d get in his car.
The incident happened about 7:30 p.m. Sunday in a parking lot at 4665 W. 6th Ave. as the man drove by three children, according to a Denver Police Department media release.
The suspect asked one of the children to “get in the car” with him before he’d give her the beads, police said.
Police describe the driver of the Chrysler as a white or Hispanic man, about 35, with tattoos on his arms. At the time of the incident he was driving a burnt orange Chrysler Sebring convertible. The vehicle has unknown Colorado plates.
The words “Masonry Repair” and a 720 phone number in black lettering were displayed on the rear of the car between the tail lights.
Anyone with information on a possible suspect, or the suspect car, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720 913-STOP (7867).
Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest or conviction. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
