GREEN RIVER, Wyo.—A former Rock Springs resident accused of murdering a Colorado hitchhiker in 2006 has pleaded not guilty to charges against him.

Forty-one-year-old Eric John Conn was arraigned in Sweetwater County District Court on Wednesday.

Conn is charged with first-degree murder, accessory to first-degree murder and accessory after the fact in the death of 29-year-old Ben Bradley of Tabernash, Colo. Police arrested Conn in St. Louis in March.

Bradley was headed to Jackson in June 2006 when he disappeared. His body was found north of Rock Springs. Authorities say he was stabbed to death.

Defense Attorney Stan Cannon requested a judge reassignment at Wednesday’s hearing.

Conn’s bond is $2 million.
