Toronto-based guitarist and his quintet glided into the Wednesday night, playing a beautiful mix of classical music and “nuevo flamenco” to an enthralled crowd.
Performing a mix of old and new material, with percussion reverberating off the walls, each instrument played its part in creating one of the world’s smallest, most complex orchestras. The crowd stayed on its feet through two curtain calls, including a rousing sing-along version of Paul Simon’s “Cecilia” that got the whole place to join in.
