DENVER—Two people booted from a public Denver appearance by then-President George W. Bush are appealing to the Supreme Court.

Leslie Weise and Alex Young asked the court this week to review the dismissal of a lawsuit they filed against volunteers Jay Bob Klinkerman and Michael Casper, who asked them to leave a taxpayer-funded town hall at a museum where Bush was discussing Social Security in 2005.

Weise and Young say they were singled out because Weise’s car had a bumper sticker that said “No More Blood For Oil.”

They’re appealing a federal appeals court ruling that said Klinkerman and Casper couldn’t be sued because they were acting under the direction of the White House in an official capacity at the private museum.
