LAKEWOOD, Colo.—Police say the drowning of a 3-year-old girl in a hot tub at Lakewood apartment complex is under investigation.
Lakewood police spokeswoman Ana Brun says a baby sitter was watching the girl and three other children at the time because the child’s mother was running errands. Authorities say fire officials and police responded to the Telluride West Apartments at 3:15 p.m. Friday on a report of a possible drowning.
Authorities say the child was taken to St. Anthony’s Hospital and was pronounced dead there. The girl was identified as Isatou Ceesay.
