An armed robber who held up a Denver Mini Market Saturday night is being sought by Denver police. The man is also suspected of robbing a gas station about half and hour later.

Investigators said the man walked into the Mini Market, 1502 W. Alameda Ave., about 8:17 p.m. armed with a small semi-automatic pistol.

He demanded money from the clerk who gave him the contents of the cash register.

About 30 minutes later, the man is believed to have robbed the Conoco gas station at 1253 W. Alameda Ave.

The suspect is believed to be in his 20s, wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts and black and white tennis shoes.

People with information about the robberies or suspect are asked to call the Denver Police Department at 720-913-2000 or call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
