Getting your player ready...

His team leading 3-0, the Phillies’ Jayson Werth tricked Ubaldo Jimenez into a run-scoring wild pitch in the third inning Saturday. Werth stepped out of the batter’s box as if time had been called. It hadn’t, and Jimenez uncorked a wild pitch in the dirt. It should have been ruled a strike, however, because Werth was completely out of the box.

Suddenly hot.

Raul Ibañez has had a disappointing season — until this series against the Rockies. The Phillies’ No. 3 hitter has gone 4-for-9 with five RBIs.

Not so fast, Fowler.

Dexter Fowler, mired in a 2-for-32 funk, doubled in the sixth inning but was thrown out trying to stretch it into a triple after he stumbled while rounding second base.
