Thieves have stolen solar panels, batteries and related equipment from approximately half a dozen well pads in western Garfield County in recent weeks, according to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office.

The thefts occurred in the areas west of Rifle and Parachute along County Road 215.

The thieves targeted Williams Production and EnCana facilities.

The value of the stolen property is estimated at $13,650.

Anyone having information about the incidents or who believes they have witnessed suspicious activity around energy development and related storage areas is asked to call the Garfield County Crime Stoppers at or 970-945-0101.
