LOS ANGELES — Zsa Zsa Gabor’s publicist says the actress has developed an infection that will keep the 93-year-old hospitalized indefinitely.
Doctors had hoped to release Gabor on Monday, but Gabor’s publicist John Blanchette said an infection had changed those plans.
Gabor has been hospitalized at the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center since she broke her hip July 17 while trying to get into her wheelchair. The Hungarian-born actress’ condition began to deteriorate after surgery days later.
A call to her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, was not immediately returned Monday. He said over the weekend that Gabor seemed depressed. The Associated Press
