A 31-year-old man from Ranchos de Taos, N.M., knifed near a Broomfield bar early Sunday, died from a single stab wound, according to Adams County coroner James Hibbard.
Hibbard identified the victim as Matias Mondragon.
According to Broomfield police, a fight erupted at the Night Owl Lounge, 2000 W. Midway Blvd., about 1:48 a.m. Sunday.
Police who responded found Mondragon about one block from the bar.
Broomfield Sgt. Scott Swenson said Mondragon was stabbed in the chest.
Officers have arrested Matt Joe Weber, 30, of Arvada for investigation of first-degree murder.
