A young boy was hit by a car and killed in Federal Heights late Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The boy was riding a “small bicycle” in the street in the 9100 block of Tejon Street just after 5 p.m.
The child died at the scene.
His name and age were not released, and the driver was not charged in the case, Federal Heights police said in a statement.
Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the child being in the street, according to the statement.
