Two certified pilots were identified Tuesday as the men killed when a small plane crashed into a field south of Calhan
William Boecking, 76, and Daniel Saunders, 60, were killed when Boecking’s Cessna 310 crashed Monday morning, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
A property owner returned to her home just before noon Monday to find the wreckage in a field about 400 yards from house and 200 yards from her barn, which sits about four miles south of Calhan.
