RENO, Nev.—Colin Kaepernick had 402 yards of total offense, rushing for two touchdowns and passing for two others, as Nevada routed future Mountain West Conference foe Colorado State 51-6 on Saturday night.

Kaepernick had 11 carries for 161 yards and hit 21 of 29 passes for 241 yards before being pulled early in the fourth quarter with the Wolf Pack leading 44-6.

Nevada (2-0), which will move from the WAC to the Mountain West next season, had 631 yards of total offense and scored on every offensive possession.

Colorado State (0-2), which has yet to score a touchdown this season after losing 24-3 to Colorado in its season opener, was limited to two field goals by Ben DeLine. Pete Thomas finished 23 of 36 for 194 yards for the Rams. He was sacked five times and intercepted once.

Kaepernick had touchdown runs of 44 and 8 yards. He also had touchdown passes of 29 yards to Tray Session and 15 yards to Virgil Green.

Vai Taua rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown for the Wolf Pack, which finished with 376 rushing yards. Stefphon Jefferson capped the scoring for Nevada with a 21-yard touchdown run with 6:37 left in the game.

Anthony Martinez had field goals of 31, 33 and 22 yards for the Wolf Pack.

Nevada led 34-3 at halftime, dominating the Rams from the opening drive in rolling up 415 yards of total offense in the first half.

The Wolf Pack had 249 yards rushing in the first half, including 139 by Kaepernick, whose 54-yard run on the opening drive set up a 44-yard field goal by Martinez.

On Nevada?s second drive, Kaepernick broke free for a 44-yard touchdown run to make it 10-0. His 29-yard strike to Session to put the Wolf Pack ahead 17-0 and a 15-yard toss to Green made it 24-3 with 5:59 left in the first half.

Taua added a 4-yard touchdown run to put Nevada ahead 31-3.
