Getting your player ready...

As the resorts’ ticket prices this season come out, the 2010-11 Colorado Gems Card was recently added to the market and is ready for purchase. It’s $10 again this year, and there is a limited amount.

The straight-up free days are down to Ski Cooper (February only, and minus the Presidents Day weekend) and Monarch (April only). The rest of the resorts have two-for- one (with blackout dates restrictions) deals as their big discount. They also have assorted single-day discounts.

If you enjoy getting up to the low-key hills and finding the hidden runs at each place, it’s worth the early-season investment.

Resorts on the card include Arapahoe Basin, Echo Mountain, Eldora, Loveland, Monarch Mountain, Powderhorn, Ski Cooper, SolVista Basin and Sunlight.

Get it: and go to the “Passes” tab
