DENVER—Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield has agreed to refund a total of $20 million to about 90,000 Coloradans to settle complaints about rate increases.
The agreement between Anthem and the Colorado Division of Insurance was announced Thursday.
The Denver Post reports that some individual health policy holders complained after Anthem raised rates three times in 13 months.
State regulators say the increases weren’t out of line but the frequency of them prompted the complaints.
Anthem hasn’t admitted any fault or wrongdoing.
