With the harmonious notes of “Hallelujah” filling the room and the crowd’s voices contributing to the chorus, everyone could feel the might of this one-man band. mesmerized those in attendance with his solo acoustic show, alternating between guitar and vocals with a little mouth percussion thrown in for good measure. The church of Sexton reverberated through the mountains on this joyous Saturday evening, a choral treat rendered true by the faithful fans.
Opener Leslie Stevens began her time with a truly folky heartfelt story-song about Los Angeles, her current place of residence. Her set, comprised of honest and focused songs, put the ample crowd at Boulder’s in just the right mood for the headliner yet to come.
