A bicyclist was involved in a collision with a pickup truck in Johnstown Monday evening, and died at the scene.
Weld County Coroner’s investigator Mark Ward said the man — described as a young adult — had no identification on him at the time of the collision, and the coroner’s office had difficulty finding the next of kin. They said he was apparently a Johnstown resident.
The collision occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Country Acres and 1st Street, about three blocks west of the downtown area in Johnstown.
The name of the fatal victim will not be released until relatives are notified. The truck driver also hasn’t been named.
