The Furry Friends Food Drive, a community effort to help financially pinched owners hang onto their pets, will have its main event today from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The Furry Friends Food Drive is collecting food for dogs, cats, birds, small mammals and horses.
The drive is being held at PetCo, 4100 E. Mexico Ave. in Denver, and Petersen Pet Provisions at East 49th Avenue and Havana Street.
