DENVER—Jason Zucker scored three goals and Matt Donovan added two as Denver beat the USA-Under 18 Team 8-1 Saturday in a men’s college hockey exhibition game.

Zucker got his first goal with 45 seconds remaining in the first period for a 1-0 lead. He added two more in the Pioneers’ six-goal third period.

Dan Olszewski got things started just 2:58 into the third period. Zucker got two goals in less than two minutes and Anthony Maiani, Donovan and Nick Shore closed things out.

John Gibson made 29 saves for the USA-Under 18 Team, which got its only goal from Tyler Biggs.

Adam Murray turned away 29 shots for the Pioneers.
