Metropolitan State College of Denver will use a $1.8 million federal grant to start a stand-alone School of Education as well as help low-income students with academic support.
The college announced Thursday that it was awarded the five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Postsecondary Education — the only Colorado recipient of the “strengthening institutions” grant.
