DENVER—Paul Andrews is resigning as executive vice president of Kroenke Sports Enterprises to serve as president and CEO of the National Western Stock Show.

Andrews, who replaces Pat Grant, will start Nov. 1, NWSS board chairman Jerry McMorris said Friday.

Andrews has been in his current position at KSE since 2005, working with owner Stan Kroenke in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the sports company and also working with Josh Kroenke, president of the Denver Nuggets and governor of the Colorado Avalanche.

Under his leadership, the Avalanche sold out a record 487 consecutive games at McNichols Arena and Pepsi Center.

In a statement, Andrews said he was sad to leave the organization and would miss Stan Kroenke, whom he called “one of the best owners in professional sports.”

Stan Kroenke, who owns several sports teams, including the NFL’s St. Louis Rams, said in a statement that KSE will miss Andrews’ “vision and passion for sports.”

There was no word on when KSE would replace Andrews.
