Wyoming will be without starting quarterback Austyn Carta-Samuels when the Cowboys play at No. 5 TCU on Saturday.
The sophomore was diagnosed early this week with an undisclosed injury and did not improve. He did not travel to Fort Worth today with the Cowboys (2-3).
Carta-Samuels is 71-of-109 passing this season for 803 yards with four touchdowns and five interceptions.
Senior Dax Crum will start Saturday at quarterback. Crum has started five games in his career, all in 2008. He has played in two games this season: Texas and Boise State. He is 4-of-7 for 39 yards passing.
