DENVER—Former President Bill Clinton will be in Denver in support of Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet as early voting begins in Colorado.

Clinton will be rallying voters at the Denver Public Schools’ Evie Garrett Campus on Oct. 18 and asking them to cast their ballots early for Bennet. Bennet’s campaign announced the visit Sunday.

Bennet is facing a tough campaign against Republican Ken Buck.

Clinton has not always been on Bennet’s side. He endorsed Bennet’s Democratic primary challenger Andrew Romanoff and recorded a telephone appeal urging voters to choose Romanoff. President Barack Obama endorsed Bennet.

Bennet spokesman Trevor Kincaid says Bennet and the former president are committed to rebuilding the country’s economy and reducing the national debt.
